ABOUT THE DOCTOR

Dr. Usha Idnani is an ABIM Certified Female Internal Medicine doctor.

She graduated with honors in medical school from Bangalore Medical College in Bangalore, South India. She then moved to the US for her Internship and Residency at the Catholic Medical Center of Queens, New York, and the reputed Cornell Medical Center in New York City, where she was one of the top 10% of the graduates of Class of 95. She then took the ABIM certification exams in 1995, since when she has been in practice, and recertified in 2005.

Most medical conditions are diagnosed during a routine physical and screening test - Dr. Idnani stresses the importance of annual physicals, BP checks, screening blood tests, cancer screening, etc.

Dr. Idnani is an advocate of preventive care, and early intervention for men and women, by aggressive life style changes and medications when indicated. She listens to patients and asks questions to check their general lifestyle and background, then tailors a management to suit that particular patient. She is dedicated to her work, providing the best care possible for her patients. She encourages her patients to actively participate in their own treatment plans. Her professional approach includes preventive care- primary and secondary, patient education.

Dr. Idnani speaks fluent English and Hindi.

During her free time, Dr Idnani enjoys travelling, reading, long walks, kayaking, oil painting, cooking and spending time with her family.
